Think:  The French Connection!   Dawn began her career in the quilting industry as an author. She published 5 books with Kansas City Star and her second book, published by Quilt-mania, was released in April 2020. A new book with American publisher, Martingale was released in September 2022. She designs quilt and punch needle patterns under the name Linen Closet Designs. Her patterns have a vintage, folk art appeal. Dawn's work can be seen in international and national magazines such as Quiltmania, Simply Vintage, Quilt Country, Quilts and More, and Primitive Quilts and Projects. She teaches in France and all over the US, sharing her love of applique and quilting. Dawn has reached across the continent, as well as across the ocean as she now collaborates with friend Bonnie Sullivan. Together they have created a membership service called Made by Hand through which members have access to two pattern per month. This membership launched in January 2022 to great success. The membership includes an exclusive yearly BOM as well as projects in many mediums. Bonnie and Dawn are continuing their partnership with a book released by Quilt-mania in April 2023. During the afternoon workshop, Dawn focused on Big Stitch Hand Quilting, teaching about needle and thread selection, tracing patterns, and monitoring stitch consistency.
