January 13: Tools of the Trade with Candy Grisham, owner of I Candy Fiber Arts in Washington, MO.

Candy will share all the fun items we use in our sewing room that come from the hardware store.  

Afternoon workshop: Hollyhocks 
Participants will create a small wall hanging with a single type of Dresden Plate made with modified edges, leaves, and stems to create a flower arrangement. The workshop requires an 18 degree wedge template. Please note the supply list here. Participants who are interested in making a second option should bring 5-6 additional fat quarters or an equivalent.


February 10:  "Quilting With the Fire of My Foremothers" with Tara Miller from The Quilt District in Atlanta, GA.  (Via Zoom) 

Let's get connected to the women and quilts that came before us.  We will investigate vintage and antique quilts in my collection to discover the stories they tell us.  From fabric design  or patterns (or the lack thereof), from constrained to improv, from purchased yardage to clothing scraps, and from published patterns to original designs.


March 10:  "The Beauty of Scrap Quilting" with Vicky Beasley from the Scrappy Farmer in Leavenworth, KS. Vicky will share her passion for all things scrappy during this trunk show.  She shares how she organizes, cuts, and uses her scraps.

Afternoon workshop: Prairie Stones
Participants will learn versatile options for creating a quilt piece using just one pattern.


April 14:  "Tales From and Undercover Quilter" 
You won't want to miss hearing about 
Roberta Griebler's past. Hailing from Raymore, MO, Roberta retired from the CIA seven years ago.  She will share her journey as a world traveler and quilter and the amazing story of a friendship with an extraordinary quilter, Myrt Tupungato, from the Philippines.

Trash to Treasure Raffle 
Lynn Colquhoun will coordinate this guild raffle.



May 12: "Quilting Through the Generations" will be a Trunk Show featuring our very own Donna Dawson and her daughters, Sherry Brown, Angie Fairbanks, and Debbie Smith. 

The Dawson women will share stories and quilting examples about their adventures in quilting for and
with each other. 


June 9: Chris Schulte from Green Light Quilts in Franklin, TN: My Trunk Show
Chris will walk us through her design process with a trunk show tour of her favorite makes. We will get a closer look at behind the scenes stories of their design and construction.

Afternoon workshop: Invisible Applique"
Get the look of needle turned applique' without spending the time to do the hand work.


July 14: Mimi Benedick: Hand Painted and Dyed Art Quilts
Our own Mimi will share information about her techniques for hand painting and dyeing fabrics with a trunk show of her examples.


August 11: Toni Steere: From Conception to Quilt
We will enjoy a behind the scenes lecture on how a fabric collection is created given by Toni 
Steere, from A Wing and a Prayer Design in Council Grove, KS.



September 8: Denise Stahl: 50 Quilts From 50 States
Coming from the Curious Kansas Quilter in Lawrence, KS, Denise will share this epic project of traveling and designing quilts.

Afternoon Workshop: Fold Back Patchwork
Denise will show us how to achieve a curved look without curved piecing and will offer several patterns to choose from. "It's so simple and fun to do." 


October 14: Panelmania Challenge Quilt Reveal
Coordinated with Jody Cheatum. Guild members may click Here for instructions.

November 11: Quilt of Valor Presentations
Coordinated with Lynn Colquhoun



December 8:  Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
Holiday Party: Food, Fun, and Fellowship with a winter theme.

We are here to promote quilting.  We have members of all ability levels from beginner to advanced.   You will meet members with interest in wool applique', Featherweights, modern quilting, traditional piecing, free-motion quilting, and much more.
