Konza Prairie Quilters' Guild

April 10 Program:  Amy and Kevin Safarik

Amy and Kevin Safarik brought the Overbrook Quilt Connection to Manhattan for our April meeting.  We enjoyed shopping their "mini store" and hearing about new tools to add to our quilting supplies and tips for improving ease and accuracy of our stitching time.

Barn quilt officiando, Kevin, facilitated the afternoon workshop.  Prior to the meeting, participants selected a barn quilt pattern from a dozen options which meant that Kevin was able to prepare all quilt boards in advance with the preferred patterns.  The vast array of paints and brushes that were supplied by the Sarafiks guaranteed that all participants could be creative and personalize their own barn quilts. With the guidance and advice of Amy and Kevin, the result was a great selection of quilts of many colors! Now the questions remains:  Where will these beauties hang?
