Konza Prairie Quilters' Guild

START YOUR ENGINES! Get ready to view the entries and the award winners from our 2023 Challenge: THREADS AND TREADS.  All quilts are currently on display at the Midwest Dream Car Collection in Manhattan, KS through September 24.  Ribbons were awarded for Best of Show, Best Use of the Challenge Theme, Best Use of Embellishment, Best Use of the Theme Fabric, Most Unique, and five Judges' Choice Awards.  Judges from outside the guild included seven local individuals representing the MDCC, the Manhattan Yard Art Classic Car Club, and regional artists. Each judge was asked to make a first and second choice for each of the four major categories and a first and second choice for overall favorite quilt with  2 points earned for a first place vote and 1 point for a second place vote.  Receipt of a Judges' Choice Award meant that the quilt was judged to be a first choice by at least two judges and/or in two different categories, for a total of 10 or more nomination points.

Many thanks to Betty Frank and Ronna Robertson for planning and organizing this quilt challenge and providing KPQG with an opportunity to publicly share the talent of our guild.  Gratitude also goes to the Midwest Dream Car Collection for their collaboration on this event.
